Are you looking for an internship where you not only research, analyse and write a report, but really help to run ongoing processes? Then you have found the ideal internship, where you can experience for yourself how things work in a scale-up!
In this internship you will work on the process of analysing and monitoring solar panel systems. You keep installers and owners of solar panels informed about the performance of their panels. In order to be able to continue this service effectively (we are currently monitoring almost 20,000 systems!) we are always optimising this process. Your internship plays an important role in this optimisation process.
First you start with available data to investigate it. For some systems, you'll dive into a little more detail before you can draw a conclusion. You are in contact with installers to inform them if the performance of panels is lagging, so that they can solve any problems. The last step in the process is that we in turn log the solutions in our system, so that we can improve our calculation models.
So you really get to work in the organisation. We expect you to help to improve running processes, while you have your feet in the clay. You participate in the teams and you get a lot of responsibility.
About Solar Monkey:
With Solar Monkey, installers can easily design, sell and maintain solar systems remotely. The ease of use and accurate calculations based on AI algorithms are unique in the sustainable market. We originated from TU Delft, with which we still have close ties to keep our software at the highest level.
We help installers to work more effectively and thus give an impulse to the sustainable energy transition. Every year, more than 250,000 solar systems are made possible in the Netherlands with our software. We also offer the service to monitor the performance of installed systems. In this way we help our customers to get the most out of their company, both before and after installation. In the short time that Solar Monkey has been in existence (since 2016) we have grown to become the market leader in the Netherlands and we have teams in Belgium and Spain. It is our ambition to make a global impact on the solar industry.
Because we are a young and growing company, the road is not always paved for you. At the same time, we realise that we can only achieve our goals together. That is why we put a lot of energy into good training and we work daily on a constructive feedback culture, so that everyone can develop optimally.
Being fluent in Dutch is not required for this internship. however, if there is a choice, we will choose the candidate who speaks Dutch.
